אילנה שרה קלייר בלסן פותחת שולחן וקוראת לנו לשבור את הכלים ולהתיר את הסדר הקיים. מזונות מאתגרת את כללי הנימוסים
ומזמינה לאכול עם העיניים, במעמד משותף המאפשר שחרור של תשוקה עצורה. בלסן חותרת תחת הנורמות החברתיות-תרבותיות שממשטרות את יחסינו לרעב וסיפוקו, ומנסחת חוזה רגשי חדש ודינמי בין האורח למארח, ובין הסועד למזונו.
המופע מתפקד כמעבדה חופשית החוקרת חומרי חוויה וחושים שונים, הנערכים, נחתכים, נטעמים ומשולבים כדי לדייק את מהות הרגע האישי של ישיבה לארוחה בצוותא. היצירה שמה על השולחן את המתח שבין הרצון לתחושת שייכות, לבין הצורך בחיפוש באזורים לא מתורבתים ויצריים. היא מבקשת ביטוי ישיר יותר שבו המפגש עם אוכל, כלים ואנשים מתרחש מחדש כבראשונה.
בלסן משחקת באוכל, ותוצאותיו הבלתי צפויות של המשחק מכתיבות את אופן האכילה ואת חווית האירוח. היא מנצחת על הקהל בנדיבות של מארחת, מציירת עם חומרי המזון, ויוצרת מטעמים ויזואליים. היא שרה, ושירתה מתפקדת כסוג של מזון לנשמה. האוכל המוגש הוא כבשר מבשרה, וכשהקהל המשתתף בסעודה מעבד את חומרי המזון אל גופו, נוצרת חפיפה בין האמנות למציאות, ועוררות של גוף ונפש.

אילנה שרה קלייר בלסן יוצרת, כוריאוגרפית, רקדנית, מורה, ציירת ואמא. החלה את דרכה המקצועית בשנת 2000 עם להקת המחול הקיבוצית, במהלכה זכתה בפרס יאיר שפירא (2005) על הצטיינות בריקוד ובפרס שרת התרבות והספורט לרקדנית מבצעת יחידה (2007). משנת 2010 היא חברת תיאטרון קליפה ובעלת הסטודיו השיתופי לציור. בין יצירותיה האחרונות: "ארוחה ערוכה" שנוצרה עבור פסטיבל אינטימדנס, תיאטרון תמונע (2023), "גם זה יעבור לך" (2023) יחד עם הרקדנית והאמנית הרב תחומית אורין יוחנן.
Ilana Sarah Claire Bellahsen is opening a table and invites us to join together for the breaking of the etiquette and to celebrate the disturbance of strict order. Mezonot challenges the way we eat, share, and react to our food and offers an alternative to enjoy it anew, in a shared time and place that enables free expression of hidden desires. Bellahsen subverts under the social-cultural rules of politeness, sublimations and the “correct” way to engage with our food, to satisfy our hunger, and creates new dynamic agreement between the host and the guest, and between the status of eating together and the food products
The show functions as an open lab that explores senses and substances that are sliced, tossed, tasted and mixed to articulate the precise moment of togetherness at the dining table. The piece deals with the tension between the need to feel belong and the need to explore uncharted, uncultivated modes of eating and sharing food with others, looking for new and direct expression in the meeting point of food, tableware and people, as it was on our first time to encounter new foreign food
Ilana plays with food, and the unpredictable results of the play dictates the fashion of eating and the experience of hosting. She conducts over the audience, paint with the food products and creates visual treats, she sings and her song serves as food for the soul, the served food is as pound of her flesh, and as the audience processing the food, the differentiated line between art and everyday life actives blurres, as body, soul and appetite for life are again awaken
Ilana Sarah Claire Bellahsen- creator, choreographer, dancer, teacher, painter and a mother. She began her professional career in the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company. During her time in the group she won the Minister of Culture prize for distinguished sole dancer (2007), and the Yair Shapira prize for outstanding dancers. As from 2010 she is a member of Clipa Theatre group and co-owner of the OpenArt Studio. Among her latest work –Etiquette, which was created for the IntimaDance Festival in Tmuna Theatre (2023), These 2 Shall Pass (2022) with the artist Oryan Yohanan
